Business Development Associate

Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong & Taiwan)

Role Overview

We are expanding our manufacturer portfolio and are seeking an experienced business development professional based in Greater China to identify, qualify, and engage manufacturers across our target categories, and to initiate market representation agreement discussions on AsiaLink’s behalf.

We are selective in the manufacturers we represent, rigorous in how we structure agreements, and fully embedded on both sides of the transaction with on-the-ground presence in Hong Kong, Athens, and Tbilisi.

Our current expansion is focused on a defined set of infrastructure and road construction projects across South-East Europe. Candidates should have working familiarity with the sector and, in particular, with the following product categories:

  • Structural & Bridge Systems — expansion joints, bridge bearings, bearing pads, reinforced steel
  • Tunnel Safety & Operations — safety systems, tunnel lighting, fire suppression, ventilation equipment, condensers
  • Road Surface & Protective Systems — anti-corrosion road coatings, asphalt binders, waterproofing membranes, anti-icing systems
  • Drainage & Water Management — drainage systems and surface water management infrastructure
  • Road Safety & Traffic Infrastructure — crash barriers and ancillary safety equipment
  • Energy & E-Mobility Infrastructure — EV charging systems and associated infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and mapping manufacturers across Greater China whose capabilities and product lines fall within AsiaLink’s defined scope
  • Conducting initial due diligence on manufacturer quality standards, certifications, export track record, and commercial readiness
  • Opening and facilitating market representation agreement discussions on AsiaLink’s behalf
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key decision-makers at target manufacturers

Key Requirements

We are open to a range of professional backgrounds. What matters is your network across Greater China’s manufacturing ecosystem, your ability to open substantive commercial conversations, and your credibility with both factory-floor and senior management stakeholders.

You may come from industrial trade, infrastructure supply, business development, or procurement — the common thread is a demonstrable ability to identify the right partners and bring them to the table.

The engagement

This is a long-term strategic partnership structured on a revenue-share basis. There is no retainer and no base salary. The Partner will hold ownership of this relationship and will participate in the revenue it generates for as long as it generates it.

We are looking for someone who builds for the long term, not someone seeking a short-term fee arrangement.
